We will meet at the entrance at 11am.

There are BBQ facilities available if you wish to bring your own food or there is a cafe in the park
which provides light meals.
There are many talks and feeding shows at various times during the day, should be a lot of fun.
See you there!
NEXT MEETING:
Will be held at Jim and Pauline's on Wednesday 8th May 2002.
20TH ANNIVERSARY BBQ:
We are planning to hold a BBQ at Speers Point Park to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the formation of
our club. The first was held on the first weekend in June but as this is the long weekend we have decided
to hold the BBQ on the 16th June 2002. Mark this date in your diaries.
It would be great to see lots of old members back to enjoy the day and to share some tales. If you know of
anyone please extend and invitation to them.
We will have more information after the meeting on Wednesday and will let you know details when we have
them.

NZ Meeting
Fleur and I travelled to the south island of NZ for a holiday and the
AGM at Hanmer Springs
. We
did some sight seeing for the first part of the week and then met at Hanmer Springs for a great couple of
days. The weather was perfect. They had a good roll up with 13 Leylands plus a few others (including our
camper). A lovely time was had by all.
Next year the AGM will be held at Tauranga on the weekend before Easter to mark the 20th Anniversary of
the formation of their association. As most members and former members live in the Northern areas of NZ a
large turn up would be expected. Due to being close to Auckland airfares would be inexpensive. To reduce
costs a group booking would be advisable, I can recommend the trip, so keep this in mind for next
year.
Hals Book
Hals book is in print and is available through bookworks, but ask him as he might get a bulk order as they are
over $50.
