Subject: [leylandp76] Force 7 Model
I have a friend who makes resin cast models and after hassling him for many months he has agreed to look at making one in 1:43 scale to match the Trax P76s.
If I can raise enough interest he may go ahead.
Production run would be limited to 50 only and cost about $70 each.
It would be much simply if all sales could go through the clubs so if we can find 50 sales throughout the clubs I will get him to go ahead. We would be aiming to have them ready for the Nationals at Easter.
Talk it over and come back to me.
This would be a one time only thing as the moulds will only produce about 50 good castings before being discarded.
There were 2200 Omega Navy Targas from Trax and the same number in Nutmeg.
Will you have one of 50.

As always Steve it comes down to a question of quality. His reproduction must be spot on or its not worth doing. If he does a fantastic job the models will sell themselves, you wont need clubs to subsidise the production run, or individuals to pre order.
Re: Force 7 Model
Mick, I have seen and held examples of his work in 1:43, 1:24 and 1:18 scale models - he is an artist. As good or better than anything you would get from many other car modellers like Trax.
I have no doubt these models will sell but with only 50 being made I wanted to make sure that clubs members would not miss out.
I have not asked any club to subsidise the production and neither has he.
When the models are nearly ready for sale I will be asking the clubs if they wish to pre-order any, if there are any left they will be made available to the general public.
Mark, thank you for your support.
If you are a member of a P76 car club see them about pre-ordering, if they dont intend to I will ensure you get one through the Sydney club.
If you arent a member of any P76 club then sorry you will have to wait and see if there are any left.
Im doing it this way to support the clubs nationally.
Steve
