I flew out to Melbourne where Chris and Barbera met me and drove me out to Eaglehawk.
We finalised the deal and I then drove the car 3400kms home to Perth.
The only problem was the lack of airconditioning with three out of the five days being 40C plus.
Here are some photos of the trip.

The car is a credit to Chris and passed the rego first time over the pits.
The drive was an excellent introduction to P76's and they are fantastic to drive on the open road.
I received a lot of attention where ever I went and all comments were very positive. A bloke at the Eucla camp ground said he was working at Holden in the early '70's and remembered the day the P76 came out.
He said they bought one and had it dissassembled before the day was finished.
