Leyland P76 Owners 2009

My concept is to "build" a P76 GTHO model

My concept is to build a P76 GTHO model, something that could have been built by Leyland for homologation purposes for a Bathurst that never came.
Every modification is purely bolt on (with the original items being kept in storage), but admittedly using some trick items would not have been available back in the 70s.

The competition

Pick your model and estimate the cost of building it

'Open to anyone'

The idea is to get you to put pen to paper with your own experience in building the car or your dream car, for racing at Bathurst.
I have included some tools to help you get started.
Thanks to Phillip for the idea.
The competition will run till the 1st of Dec 2009. and be drawn at the National Meeting at Raymond Terrace NSW 2010.

If you have already built this car, bring it to the "Nationals 2010" for display

The editors may like to put the information in your next magazine.
This may let other non internet owners a chance to compete too.

All information will be kept confidential, and the Judge's choice is final.
If you do submit and entry please advise on your email reply if details can be used, about your suppliers.
It would be great to get contacts and telephone details to add to the web site.
Download the Excel spreadsheet and try doing the same exercise for either a L34 Torana, E49 Charger and XA GT Falcon.
You will see the tabs at the bottom of the spreadsheet for building your Leyland P76 equivilent version.
By completing the estimation with details of suppliers in your local area (if possible) and sending it to James Mentiplay you go into a draw.
The winner will be entitled to one free years of membership to a Leyland P76 Club of your choice.
The Judges will be a selection of Club delegates, adjudicated James from W.A.
Good luck
